Just because there are a couple hundred players aiming for the Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘n’ Roll Poker Open” Championship title, that doesn’t mean the rest of the players are twiddling their thumbs up in the hotel room.

We have a nice group of players in the $350 Big Stack Event 9 and now see some big names taking part in the new $1,650 Purple Chip Bounty event in the other corner. More than a few players have taken a seat in that game after dropping out of the Championship including Sheddy Siddiqui, Scott Efron, and 2010 WSOP Main Event Champion Jonathan Duhamel.

This big buy-in tournament is set to run as a two-day event with a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool. There are 80 entrants in early going and late registration/re-entry is available until 9pm this evening.
