Event 10 was moving toward its first break of the day when there was a commotion in the back of the room. Marty Robbins was very, very happy. Really happy.

We got to the table with the board already out and the dealer counting down chip stacks.

“You really made me think you didn’t have aces,” Robbins said to Reinaldo Troconis.

“Just bad luck.”

That exchange was prompted by Robbins’ face up as the winning hand against when a king ended up on the river with the board reading .

It was a huge hand and Robbins had Troconis barely covered, but enough to put him among the leaders heading into the first break.
