After 17 levels of play, the 153-entry $1,650 no-limit hold’em purple chip bounty is down to its final 12 players and is led by Aleksandr Gofman, who finished the day with 627,000 in chips.

He holds a massive chip lead over the rest of the field with his closest competitors nearly 300,000 chips behind him. Michael Stashin (357,000), Pablo Mariz (348,000) and Myles German (331,000) are the only other players above the 300,000-chip mark.

Four-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Brian Hastings comes into the second and final day as the short stack with 101,000, while Mathieu Selides is on the verge of his second final table of the series. He finished runner-up to Dragos Iosub in the $570 no-limit hold’em last Wednesday.

They burst the bubble late in the day and the top 20 spots earned at least $2,142. The final 12 players are all guaranteed a cash of at least $3,596 and $500 for every player they knockout, but the eventual winner will walk away $41,120 and one of the last Hard Rock trophies to be awarded this series.
