Kessler Likes the 250/500 Level

Allen “Chainsaw” Kessler (Las Vegas, NV) is one of poker’s most vocal players when it comes to tournament structures and what he believes to be in the best interest of the game.

So when Kessler says, “this tournament is Chainsaw approved,” the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown, knows it’s on the right track.

“You don’t see this in many places,” says Jordan Chizick (Fort Lauderdale, FL) of the eight game mix. “Deuce to seven, triple draw, it’s great.”

In addition to the blend of games, Chizick likes the mix between limit betting and the unlimited action in NL Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha.

“I lost the biggest pot so far,” says Chizick after missing a wrap draw against the pocket Kings of Bruce Yamron (Naples, FL). “That was a 20k pot and we only started with 15(k).”

For Kessler, this event fits the “good structure” definition, citing Level 5’s 250/500 limits

The field hasn’t lost any players since the last break.
