Jay Romano bet 75,000 out of the big blind on a flop of AsKhQh and Michael Mizrachi calls from under-the-gun. The turn was the 2h and Romano checked.

Mizrachi bet 150,000 and Romano quickly called. The river was the Td and Romano checked again.

“How much you got left?” asked Mizrachi.

“About 800 [thousand]” responded Romano.

He then pushes forward his stack and Mizrachi gets a better look at Romano’s remaining 500,000.

“So that’s what 800,000 looks like?” joked Steve Karp.

Mizrachi moved all in and Romano went into the tank.

“There’s no way you have a jack,” said Romano. “If it wasn’t for that last card, I was going to do something.”

“What’s fourth place pay?” asked Mizrachi.

“Now I know you have a jack,” said Romano.

Romano spends another minute in the tank and then John Dollinger calls the clock. Romano lets the clock run down to just a few seconds before folding his hand.

Mizrachi drags the pot and shows Ts8s as he crosses the 2 million chip mark.

“I saw his hand and I thought he had it,” said one of Mizrachi’s supporters on the rail. “He looked so confident I thought he had it. I was rooting for the guy to call.”

Michael Mizrachi – 2,100,000
Jay Romano – 515,000
