Ryan Olisar Won the $1,100 No Limit Hold’em for $61,180

Ryan Olisar won the $1,100 No Limit Hold’em in the early hours of Wednesday morning. He bested a field of 261 and took home $61,180.

He took the better end of a deal heads-up with Brian Altman and had more chips, thus giving him more money and the title. Altman took home $51,476.

Olisar came into town for some of the bigger events that are getting underway soon and was able to start his trip off on the right foot.

“I got in last night,” said Olisar. “I only got a couple hours of sleep, but it feels good to stay up for another 15 hours and get less sleep again.”

With the $3,500 WPT Main Event starting on Friday, Olisar hopes to take this momentum into an event with a much larger payday.

“It’s always good to start off like this just before the series,” said the 26-year-old poker pro. “We got the main event for this series coming up and then we got the World Series coming after that. It’s nice to have good momentum. It’s perfect.”

Olisar went nearly wire to wire at the final table. He came in with the chip lead and was active the whole way through. There was a short period in the middle stages of the final table where Asher Conniff took the chip lead, but Olisar was never very short on chips.

The final table was fairly stacked with tournament success. Conniff is the reigning WPT World Champion and Altman won a WPT title here at the Seminole Hard Rock last year in the main event of the Lucky Hearts Poker Open. Long-time pro David Levi finished third to round out one of the tougher tables the series has seen so far.

Here is a look at the final table results:

1st: Ryan Olisar – $61,180
2nd: Brian Altman – $51,476
