Event 16: Michael Aron Doubles Through Jean Gaspard

$1,100 No Limit Hold’em Shootout
Level 3: 600/1,200 with a 200 ante
Players Remaining: 10 of 70

Jean Gaspard opened to 3,200 in early position, Haim Toorgeman called a few seats over, and Jerry Wong called in the cutoff. From the big blind, Michael Aron three-bet to 13,200, and only Gaspard called.

The flop was Js6s3s. Aron continued for 14,500, and Gaspard called. The turn was the 3d, and Aron bet another 24,500. Gaspard called again, and the river was the 8c. Aron moved all in for 51,500, and Gaspard pondered for several minutes before calling to put his opponent at risk.

Aron showed KsKh, and Gaspard flashed his inferior 4s4d as he mucked. Aron won the pot with a pair of kings, doubling up into the chip lead and taking most of Gaspard’s once-mighty stack in the process.

Michael Aron – 216,200 (180 bb)
Jean Gaspard – 11,700 (10 bb)
