We missed the action, but Yevgeniy Timoshenko was getting up from his seat and David Malka was collecting the chips. Malka was showing pocket aces and is the chip leader as they inch toward the final table.

“You’ve been playing very well this last half hour,” said Tyler Patterson with a laugh. “You just get aces twice and bust people.”

Malka laughed along as he stacked his chips. Malka, a California poker pro and business owner, has been on a tear in the last few months on the tournament circuit.

Coming off cashes at WPT L.A. Poker Classic and WPT Bay 101, he won his first WSOP Circuit ring at the Bicycle Casino just two weeks ago. This is his first event of the series and is primed to make another deep run.
