And here’s why bounty tournaments can be so frustrating.

Each bounty in this tournament is worth $500 and Sterling Savill looked like his turned pair of queens was going to pick an opponent off for the chips and the cash.  In fact, the player he beat was headed out the door.

But then the count was done and after the 23,225 all-in was double-checked, his opponent was left with 50 chips.  Two measly little green chips separated Savill from the $500 payoff.  Ouch.

Savill couldn’t believe it and then had to watch the 50 chips and the bounty go to another player on the next hand after he’d done the dirty work.

With the elimination, 22 players remain in Event 18.
