Chris Arnold

Chris Arnold was forced all in from the big blind, with 50,000 going in as the ante and his last 50,000 going in for the big blind. Luckenson Pericles raised UTG+1 to 125,000, Daniyal Gheba called from the hijack, and Marc Goldman called from the cutoff.

There was 275,000 in the main pot, and another 225,000 in the side pot. Any further betting would go to the side pot.

The flop came 8c5d3h, Pericles checked, and Gheba bet 100,000. Goldman and Pericles folded, and Gheba took the side pot.

For the main pot, Arnold turned over 6c3d, and even with a pair he was dominated by Gheba’s 6s6d, and he needed to improve to stay alive.

But the turn was the 4s, the river was the 2d, and both players made a six-high straight to chop the pot.

Daniyal Gheba  –  3,900,000  (78 bb)
Chris Arnold  –  130,000  (3 bb)
