Another local legend has entered the $400 Deep Stack when Johnny Bromberg grabbed his seat after the dinner break. He joins a stacked field, trying to add to his already impressive hardware collection.

Bromberg has five major SHRP trophies, his first during the 2023 SHRPO series and then another in every Poker Showdown series since. His five biggest cashes came in the Grand Ballroom and against some massive fields.

Bromberg won the opening event of the 2023 SHRPO series, a tournament with 6,253 entries, at the time the biggest field in Florida poker history. He earned $219,090 for that win and bookended it with a win over 2,937 entries in the $800 Showdown Platinum stacks a few weeks ago for another $258,125.

More related to this series, Bromberg won the Deep Stack Poker Series $1,700 Deepest Stack trophy in 2024 and will try for another one when that tournament starts on May 21.
