Freeze-out tournament usually take a little longer to hit their guarantee, it’s the nature of the no re-entry beast. But today’s tournament pushed past the $30,000 guarantee before the first break of the day.

There are more than a few notables getting in the game early including Vinny Pahuja, David Jackson, Al Gomez, Jacquelyn Scott, Daren Stabinski, and 2015 November Niner Neil Blumenfield. We also noticed Mike Mernin sitting in the early tournament with less rest than most. He made the 6-Max Event 2 final table last night and recorded a fourth place finish. Mernin is back less than 12 hours later.
