Event 5D: Updated Chip Counts

$570 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em
Level 11: 600/1,200/200 Ante

As the field approaches midnight, there are about 140 players remaining from Flight 5D’s 362 entries, which makes the average chip stack about 51,700 (43 big blinds).

One notable hand took Victor Figueroa up over the 100K mark. With the board showing 5s5c4d10d on the turn and a little more than 40,000 already in the pot, Figueroa checked the small blind, and John Merchant (who finished third in yesterday’s Seniors Event) checked from middle position.

The river card tripped the board with the 5h, and Figueroa bet 28,000. Merchant tanked for about two full minutes before he called, and Figueroa turned over KdKc for a full house, fives full of kings. Merchant tapped the table to indicate it was good, and mucked his cards as Figueroa won the pot.
