Event 6: David Prociak wins PLO ring ($14,114); Jon Borenstein takes 2nd ($8,721)

$365 Pot Limit Omaha (Re-Entry)
Level 22: 10,000/20,000 | Payouts

David Prociak

David Prociak began the heads up battle with a huge chip deficit but quickly erased it in two big hands.

The match evened out after his chips went in after a AdTc3s flop with Borenstein’s AcKc7c6h ahead of Ah5s4c4h. Prociak made two pair on the river to double up and get back in the game.

Three hands later, there were three pot-sized bets in the middle before the flop. Borenstein opened to 60,000 from the button, Prociak raised to 180,000 and Borenstein put in another big bet to 540,000.

Prociak called to see the Jc9d5h flop and all the chips went in the middle.

Prociak: 9c6d5d2c
Borenstein: KsKcJd4d

“You have two pair?” a very surprised Borenstein asked.

Prociak was ahead with bottom two against Borenstein’s kings. Borenstein picked a flush draw on the 8d turn but the Qc was a blank.

They counted down both stacks and Prociak’s 374,000 barely had Borenstein and the tournament was complete.

Full recap to come.
