The final 39 players return from break, and in less than 10 minutes, three more players bust to drop it to 36 — the final four tables.
John Carl Vinsant was neck-and-neck for the chip lead at the break with Zach Carfagno, though it looked like Carfagno had him by less than a small blind.
But shortly after play resumed, Vinsant busted a player to add more than a million to his stack and take the clear chip lead.
With the blinds at 20,000-40,000 and a 5,000 ante, here’s a look at the top of the leaderboard, along with some other notable chip stacks:
1. John Carl Vinsant – 3,350,000 (83 bb)
2. Zach Carfagno – 2,150,000 (53 bb)
3. Brett Bader – 2,030,000 (50 bb)
4. Eric Mutschler – 1,925,000 (48 bb)
