On a flop of Ad9s3s, the big blind was all in preflop and there was already about 17,000 in the side pot between Bob Bounahra and Nipun Java.

Java checked from under-the-gun and Bounahra checked behind. The turn was the 10d and Java checked again. Bounahra bet 25,000 and Java called. The river was the 2d and Bounahra moved all in for 5,900.

“You got so lucky, huh,” said Java. “[pocket] tens?”

Java tossed in the call and Bounahra shows 9h9d, good for a set of nines and Java mucked his hand. The big blind showed 6s5d and Bounahra more than doubled up, while knocking out a player in the process.

Bounahra is most famous for being a part of the 2011 November Nine. He finished in seventh place for over $1.3 million. He is also fresh off his first World Series of Poker Circuit ring, winning the $1,125 No Limit Hold’em for $26,555.

He drags the pot and moves into the six-digit chip counts.

Bob Bounahra – 103,000
Nipun Java – 38,000
