Jamie Gold was buying up the 5k chips in anticipation of the race off when he got involved in a big pot with Rafael Reis.
Gold opened the action to 300,000 from the button and Reis called the bet in the big blind. The WSOP champ fired another 400,000 after the flop and Reis opted to call once again.
“Nice hand sir,” Gold said after each call.
Gold put out an even 1,000,000 after the turn and Reis went into decision mode. After some consideration, he moved all just over 3,500,000.
“I think I have to call,” Gold kept saying. “I can beat anything but a four I think.”
Gold called the bet and saw he was incorrect. Reis tabled for a cooler against Gold’s . No miracle river and Gold was down to just 825,000 while Reis jumped over 10,000,000.
