Finale: Chino Rheem Takes the Chip Lead

$10,000 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Finale
Level 25: 25,000/50,000 with a 5,000 ante
Players Remaining: 5 of 342

Chino Rheem opened to 105,000 under the gun, and Richard Leger three-bet to 220,000 next to act. Rheem called the remainder to see the flop.

It came Jc9s7c. Both players checked, and the turn was the Qd. Rheem checked again, Leger bet 300,000, and Rheem check-raised to 900,000. Leger called.

The river was the Kc, and Rheem bet 1,060,000. Leger cut the calling chips from his stack and moved them to one side while he deliberated. The two engaged in some brief banter, and after about three minutes, Leger folded.

Rheem won the pot without showdown, claiming the chip lead in the process.

Chino Rheem – 4,745,000 (95 bb)
Richard Leger – 4,225,000 (85 bb)
