The headline event of the 2016 Fun in the Sun Poker Open begins tomorrow at 11am. The series finale — recognized as Event 7 — boasts a $560 buy-in as well as a $50,000 guarantee. Last year’s tournament drew 177 entries smashing the guarantee to the tune of an $88,500 prize pool. When all was said and done, Florida’s own Evan Teitelbaum won the $19,888 first prize along with the guitar trophy.
Players in this year’s tournament begin with 20,000 chips and log 20- and 30-minute levels throughout. Late registration and re-entry are available until the start of Level 13 which comes at about 3:50 pm.
