The Double Green Chip Bounty tournament was running alongside the Limit Omaha 8 tournament and we found an anomaly between the two. Gabriel Ramos was sitting at the No Limit Hold’em final table and not the split-pot game; his specialty.

Ramos went on to capture the Event 3 title after a four-way deal that saw him earn his sixth SHRP Hollywood trophy, a feat that ties him with Brian Altman and Michael Newman for second-most in our history.

With this win, Ramos adds both a No Limit Hold’em title to his list of credentials along with his first Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open trophy. He now has a complete set.

Ramos held the chip lead when the last four players decided on a deal to divide up the remaining prize money. He took home $3,000 plus the coveted trophy to go with the rest. Ramos isn’t done for the series, there are more games to play and trophies to win.

“I spent six weeks in Vegas,” he continued. “I said I’d go home if I won a trophy.”

“But I have to play the HORSE tomorrow,” he said with a smile.
