The heavily anticipated $1,650 Heads-Up No Limit Hold’em event kicked off on Thursday afternoon. The field was sold out and capped at 64 players.
It brought out some top level no limit hold’em talent down to South Florida, but after three rounds of play, the final eight players are in the money and three wins away from a SHRPO title. They will restart at 2 p.m. on Friday to play down to a winner.
Running alongside the heads-up event was Day 2 of the $1,100 No Limit Hold’em Six-Max.
It was Seth Davies who took it down after besting Harrison Gimbel heads-up. He beats a field of 186 to win $41,604 and a Hard Rock trophy.
On Friday, there are two more tournaments kicking off that will run concurrently with the heads-up event. The $300 Charity Series of Poker is a single day event that starts at 7 p.m. and will play down to a winner. There is an $1,100 No Limit Hold’em Turbo Freezeout that starts at 1 p.m. as well.
