Just before the blinds went up, Ray Qartomy raised to 45,000 from the small blind and Joe Kuether defended his big blind.

The flop fell and Qartomy continued for 50,000. Kuether called to see the turn where Qartomy bet 95,000. Kuether called again, the river completed the board, and both players checked.

“I can’t believe it,” says Qartomy. “How do you not bet there?”

Qartomy shows for kings full of queens and Kuether mucks.

A few hands later, Qartomy opened to 50,000 from under the gun and Kuether called.

The flop fell and Qartomy continued for 50,000. Kuether called to see the turn where Qartomy bet 100,000. Kuether called again, the river completed the board, and both players checked.

“Again! How do you always know?” asks Qartomy, who showed for a flush.

Kuether mucked and Qartomy collected the pot.

“You’re a genius,” says Qartomy to Kuether.
