Following John Simcox’s elimination in 9th, defending Lucky Hearsts Poker Open HORSE champion Ben Matthews was the next go in 8th.

Matthews got in an Omaha 8 raising war with Michael Roseingrave on a Qc4c3h board. Matthew got all in with Ah5sJh6s versus the AsAcJs7c of Roseingrave. The board completed with the Kd and 9h and Matthews’ high and low draws were rendered useless. Roseingrave’s aces took the whole pot and Matthews busted 9th earning $445.

The interesting stack belongs to Elliott Zaydman. He was knocked down under 50,000 on the money bubble but bounced back and went on break with more than 500,000 in front.
