$360 Ultimate Re-Entry No Limit Hold’em Level 3: 75/150 Flight C Entries: 206
Flight C climbed over 200 entries as they moved past noon and we have a few players trying to take advance of the multi-stack awards in the Ultimate Re-Entry format.
Nancy Thomas, Zoltan Czinkota, and reigning Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year David Prociak are back in action today after already booking their seat in Day 2 yesterday. Prociak is in a little different situation than the other two. He has a top five stack at the moment and looking to pick up the $2,500 multi-stack award to getting there again.
Thomas and Czinkota are already guaranteed some money for advancing one stack but both sit near the bottom of the counts. If they can do it again, with more chips this time, they’ll pick up the $2,500 for the small stack and play the bigger one on Day 2.
$300 Seniors 50+ No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry) Level 4: 100/200 Total Entries: 65
With two events running in two different sections of the ballroom, players will keep everyone hopping all day long. The Seniors Event has quickly jumped up to 65 entries heading towards the first break of the day and they are building themselves a nice field.
Neil Blumenfield decided to play this event before taking his shot in Event 1, a warm-up for the 2015 WSOP November Niner. He’s a San Francisco native but we’ve been seeing him a lot sense he moved his home base to the Sunshine State.
$360 Ultimate Re-Entry No Limit Hold’em Level 1: 25/50 Flight C Entries: 116
Flight C action was underway precisely at 11am and we have 116 entries in the game after a few hands were complete. The pace is a little slower than yesterday’s opening flight but we expect that to pick up as we move into the afternoon hours.
Lou Stadler is among the early gang today and sitting at a short-handed starting table. That will give him a chance to play more hands and run up an early stack. Stadler already owns one SHRP trophy from the Coco Poker Showdown less than a year ago but still looking for his first major title here.
$360 Ultimate Re-Entry No Limit Hold’em Level 1: 25/50
Day 2 of the 2017 Seminole Hard Rock Lucky Hearts Poker Open is upon us and it is also the second day of the Ultimate Re-Entry opening event.
The first two flights drew 917 entries yesterday to put the $360 buy-in tournament more than halfway towards the $500,000 guaranteed prize pool. We should easily get enough players for Friday morning/afternoon/evening poker to get there today.
Casey Carroll is the overall leader after two flights with former WPT champ Tony Ruberto not far behind and 89 players holding a seat for Day 2.
The unique format of the Ultimate Re-Entry gives players a chance to enter multiple starting flights and get paid for advancing more than one stack forward to Day 2. The smaller stack(s) will be taken out of play, they will receive $2,500 for that stack, and the bigger one will be put in play.
Bob Chow is off to a good start in the tournament and advanced a stack in each of the first two flights to put him up $2,500 before playing a single hand on Day 2.
Each entrant will sit down to a 15,000 starting stack and play 30-minute levels throughout the starting flight. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 13 at 5:45pm. They will continue playing until 10% of the field remains (rounding down) and those remaining will return to Day 2 already in the money.
Play gets back underway at the top of the hours and we will continue to follow along until the burst the Flight C bubble later this evening.

$300 Seniors 50+ No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry) Level 1: 25/50
We’re rolling into the first weekend of the 2017 Seminole Hard Rock Lucky Hearts Poker Open and it presents our players with the first single-day event on the schedule. But not just anyone can enter.
Event 2 is the $300 buy-in Seniors 50+ event and players must be at least 50 years old to get in the action. These are usually very active, very vocal, and a lot of fun for the participants.
They’ll sit down to 10,000 starting stacks and the tournament will run 30-minute levels throughout the day. Late registration is open until the start of Level 9 at 2:30pm and unlimited re-entries are available during that time. They’ll head off on a 40-minute dinner break around 4:30pm and return to play down to a Seniors Event champion.
Cards are about to go in the ai- and we’ll keep one eye watching this tournament while the third and fourth flights fly in Event 1.
Players begin with 10,000 in chips and 30-minute levels
Late registration/re-entry available until start of Level 9
This is a one-day tournament and plays until completion
$360 Ultimate Re-Entry No Limit Hold’em Level 16: 4,000/8,000 with a 1,000 ante Flight B Players Remaining: 39 of 394
With 41 players remaining, Casey Carroll raised from middle position. The player on the button committed his remaining 19,000, Joseph Duchman reraised all in from the big blind for about 45,000, and Carroll called to put both players at risk.
Carroll tabled , leading the button’s and Duchman’s .
The board came down , giving Carroll trip aces to score the double elimination and send the remaining field into the money.
With that pot, Carroll overtook Flight A chip leader Tony Ruberto as the overall chip leader through two flights with 556,000.
$360 Ultimate Re-Entry No Limit Hold’em Level 14: 2,000/4,000 with a 500 ante Flight B Players Remaining: 50 of 394
A player in middle position raised to 9,000, David Prociak three-bet to 32,000 from the button, and the initial raiser called.
The two of them proceeded to check to the river of a board where the initial raiser checked. Prociak bet effectively 95,000-ish, sending his opponent into the tank about two-and-a-half minutes before the clock was called. Time eventually ran out, and Prociak was awarded the pot.
$360 Ultimate Re-Entry No Limit Hold’em Level 13: 1,500/3,000 with a 500 ante Flight B Players Remaining: 90 of 394
Registration is closed and Flight B drew 394 entries. The remaining field will play down to the money tonight and return on Monday for Day 2. Play will go hand-for-hand with 40 players remaining, and will conclude when one player or more is eliminated.
