Event 4: Night-Time Turbo

We are closing out the first day of the series with a big turbo tournament at 8 pm in the Grand Ballroom. The $400 buy-in tournament has deep starting stacks and quick levels to get them through the day.

Players start with 20K deep stacks and all levels last 15 minutes. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 10:15 pm. They will continue to play down into the evening and finish up when we are awarding another LHPO trophy.

There were 76 survivors who bagged chips from this flight, and the clear chipleader is Matvey Tevlin with a massive stack of 917,000. Tevlin has more than twice as many chips as anyone else in the field, as Avraham Kacmis is the only other player who bagged more than 400K:

In the first hand of hand-for-hand play on the Money Bubble, the player in the small blind got it all in preflop for about 32,000 with Kd10h, and needed to improve to stay alive against the 9h9c of Jack Ranallo on the button.

The board came 7h7d6c3s5s, and the pocket nines held up for Ranallo to win the pot and eliminate the small blind on the Money Bubble.

Shortly before the money bubble, a short-stacked player moved all in from UTG+1 for 24,000. Andrew Pacifico called from the hijack, and chipleader Matvey Tevlin raised from the small blind to 74,000.

Pacifico moved all in over the top for about 350,000, and Tevlin quickly called.

Flight B of Lucky Hearts Poker Open Event 1 gets underway at 6 pm and the tournament is already off to a great start. We had 606 entries in the first flight and the $600 Deep Stack should easily surpass its $1,000,000 this weekend.

Players start with 20K deep stacks and all Day 1 levels last 30 minutes, increasing to 40 minutes at the start of Day 2 and 60 minutes from Level 24 till heads up. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 10:30 pm.

Flight B will continue until 12.5% of the field remains and survivors will return on Sunday at 1 pm for Day 2 in the money.

Nakonechnyy called with AcKs for a pair of kings, and Levitt turned over Kh9h for a pair of kings with a lower kicker. Levitt needed to improve to stay alive.

The turn card was the 2h, the river card was the 6c, and Nakonechnyy won the pot with a pair of kings and his ace kicker to eliminate Levitt from Flight 1A.
