While the LHPO Championship final table is playing down in the back of the Seminole Ballroom, the one-day $5K tournament is having a time of its own in the front.

The tournament flew right by its $100,000 guarantee early in the day and the prize pool is over $350,000 after the first break. The record for attendance in this tournament is 117 and they should hit that with late registration available until 6:40 pm.

Randall Emmett looks like one of the big stacks after the first break after the tv/movie producer ran his stack up to 52,000 in four levels. Emmett has two big wins and both came within days of each other; taking the top spot in the Aria $10K High Roller on October 3 of 2019 for $108,000 then again in the Aria $10K High Roller on October 5 for another $102,600.

Andy Hwang had a pretty good run of hands. It started with a hand against Francis Margaglione when he showed AdAc to win a pot worth 3,700,000. The next hand, he was up against Margaglione once again on a hand that didn’t make it past the turn but Hwang showed AxKx suited.

On the next one, Margaglione opened to 300,000 from the button and Hwang called from the small blind. They checked it down until the board read Ah8s5d9s4c and a 875,000 bet from Hwang got a fold from Margaglione. Hwang showed AsQd for another big one to push him up to 9,700,000.
