STUD

Victor Nassif:  (XxXx)  Jh2dQd
Nic Ganley:  (XxXx)  3cQs3s

A few minutes after play resumed, they were on 5th street during a Stud round, and Nic Ganley bet 80,000 with his pair of threes showing. Nassif raised to 160,000, Ganley reraised to 240,000, and Nassif reraised to put Ganley all in.

Ganley called all in for a total of 260,000, and they turned over their cards:

Victor Nassif:  (10d9d)  Jh2dQd
Nic Ganley:  (KcQc)  3cQs3s

Ganley had two pair, queens and threes, and he needed it to hold to stay alive against Nassif’s diamond flush draw and open-ended straight draw.

The dealer put out the rest of their boards:

Victor Nassif:  (10d9d)  Jh2dQd8s  (4h)
Nic Ganley:  (KcQc)  3cQs3s4s  (7s)

Nassif made a straight on sixth street, and Ganley needed a queen or a three on seventh street to stay alive, but he missed. Nassif won the pot — and the title and the trophy — with a queen-high straight.

Nic Ganley finished as the runner-up, earning $4,225.

Victor Nassif wins the $400 Triple Stud, earning $7,385 and another Lucky Hearts Poker Open trophy. (He won the $400 H.O.R.S.E. event at this series last year.)

Congratulations to Victor Nassif!

Ken Brosnahan was already all in from the button with side action remaining between Eric Lea in the small blind and Timothy Banks in the big blind.

The flop was Jd7h2d and after a bet and a few raises, Banks was all in for 461,000 with AcAdJhTh5d for a pair of jacks with the nut flush draw. Lea showed QdJcTd6d2s for jacks and deuced with an inferior flush draw, while Brosnahan’s holdings were well behind.

The Kh turn and 5h river completed the board, giving Banks a backdoor heart flush to double through Lea while eliminating Brosnahan in third place.

Victor Nassif:  (As5c)  2cAhQhJd
Adam Walter:  (8c4d)  3d5sKs3s

Nassif had a pair of aces with no low draw, and Walter had a pair of threes with an 8-5 low draw. Walter needed to improve to stay alive.

Victor Nassif:  (As5c)  2cAhQhJd  (9h)
Adam Walter:  (8c4d)  3d5sKs3s  (10c)

Walter missed all of his outs on seventh street, and with neither player making a qualifying low, Nassif wins the pot with his pair of aces to eliminate Walter in third place.

The 7s turn and 7c river completed the board, no help to Cvetinovic, ending his tournament in fourth place.

3rd Street:  Mihails Morozovs completes to 30,000, and Nic Ganley calls.

Nic Ganley:  (Qs10s)  4sKs
Mihails Morozovs:  (8s8d)  7d6d

Morozovs had a pair of eights with a backdoor straight-flush draw, while Ganley had a flush draw with a different backdoor straight-flush draw.

Then the dealer gave them the rest of their cards:

Nic Ganley:  (Qs10s)  4sKs8hQd  (Kc)
Mihails Morozovs:  (8s8d)  7d6d2d7s  (10h)

Ganley paired his queen on sixth street and his king on seventh street to make a higher two pair, and Morozovs needed to improve with a lower two pair and a diamond flush draw. But the last card for Morozovs was an offsuit 10, and Ganley won the pot to eliminate Morozovs in fourth place.
