$350 Ultimate Re-Entry No Limit Hold’em Level 8: 400/800/75 Ante
Ory Hen (left) Nigel Murray (top right)
It’s tough to miss Table 7, especially with it sitting just in front of the media desk. Nigel Murray took a seat at the end of the table and you always know when he’s nearby.
His voice carries.
Murray is back in action after hitting the felt with his first attempt and he joined Ory Hen at the table. Those two players finished first and second in the 2015 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year chase with Hen nudging Murray for the title.
The field has passed over the 500 entrant mark and closing on 525 before the second break of the day.

Zach Kessler (foreground) and Jeff Kessler (background right)
Flight E crossed over 500 entrants in Level 7 and one of those belong to Jeff Kessler. He misfired on the first go ’round today and his new seat is back-to-back with his son’s table. Zach “Redlocks” Kessler is making his first appearance of the series and keeping an eye on “pops” along the way.
It’s always a fun battle as those two debat who’s had the greatest success so far. Zach holds the record for most cash between the two, but it’s Jeff who has two trophies on the mantle.
Jeff’s most recent win came in the Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open” Seniors Event in 2013 while Zach has earned more than $150,000 in his poker career.
Yeah, think I oughta go fire at that half a mil @shrpo. Can’t let my old man take all the prize pool money in this series. #EnRoute#shrpo
$350 Ultimate Re-Entry No Limit Hold’em Level 6: 200/400/50 Ante
AJ Santos (Oxford, FL)
AJ Santos was mentioned here yesterday and he’s back today for another shot. The former surgeon and PLO cash game player is well known for his fun-loving attitude at the table and also for the complete disregard for his stack.
“I haven’t beaten my record yet,” Santos laughed as he was getting yet another table assignment after re-entering.
He was talking about a previous series where he fired off 25 bullets in a single, multi-day event. An impressive feat.
Santos is only one reason why Flight E is nearing 500 entrants in Level 6.
$350 Ultimate Re-Entry No Limit Hold’em Level 5: 150/300/25 Ante
Matthew Stewart (Orlando, FL)
We had a few big stacks standing out in the huge field but it was Matthew Stewart alone at the top. He pushed his stack up to 69,275 in four levels, most of coming when his nut flush bested another flush, a set, and pocket aces for a triple KO.
We have 450 entrants in Level 5 and the numbers are quickly climbing towards the biggest flight so far.
Notables stacks:
Matthew Stewart – 69,275 (231 bb) Ignatius Reilly – 68,025 (227 bb) Steve Carswell – 53,275 (178 bb) Stephen Ma – 50,300 (168 bb) Jacquelyn Scott – 37,875 (126 bb) David Jackson – 33,075 (110 bb) Nigel Murray – 26,900 (90 bb) Scott Zakheim – 19,000 (63 bb) Jeffrey Trudeau Jr. – 16,275 (54 bb) Cheri Beatty – 15,600 (52 bb) Brandon Byars – 15,300 (51 bb) Scott Efron – 11,625 (39 bb) Ralph Massey – 11,125 (37 bb)
$350 Ultimate Re-Entry No Limit Hold’em End of Level 4: 100/200
Players in Flight E are about to hit their first break of the day as the count clicks to 400 entrants. It looks like we’ll surpass Flight A as the biggest flight to date, that starting session drew an even 500 entrants.
This will be our first chance to take a look at the stacks with an empty room and we’ll report back with the big numbers in the room.
$350 Ultimate Re-Entry No Limit Hold’em Level 4: 100/200
Jacquelyn Scott (Fort Lauderdale, FL)
We’ve documented a few WSOP bracelet winners from previous flights and we found another taking her first shot as the field climbed near 350 entrants.
Loni Harwood, Marsha Wolak, and Nancy Birnbaum are some of the more successful female players we see on a regular basis and Jacquelyn Scott is our next to get in the game. Wolak and Scott both own WSOP bracelets after winning the Ladies Championship in Vegas with Wolak’s coming in 2011 and Scott picking hers up this summer.
$350 Ultimate Re-Entry No Limit Hold’em Level 3: 75/150
Scott Efron (Boca Raton, FL)
The fifth flight is nearing 300 entrants at the start of Level 3 and there’s a steady line at the registration desk of new entries and re-entries.
Scott Efron played in earlier flights and said he was happy to bag up chips last night in Flight D. He finished with 154,000 for an average returning stack and now he’s trying to pick up a multi-stack award along with a bigger stack to use on Monday.
$350 Ultimate Re-Entry No Limit Hold’em Level 2: 50/100
Nancy Thomas (Fort Lauderdale, FL) is all smiles as she tries to bag a third time
The ballroom is quickly filling and the field reached 200 entrants before it moved into Level 2. We have a few players back in the game with a chance to put a second stack into the money.
Nancy Thomas is here trying to do them all one better. She’s playing in her third Ultimate Re-Entry starting flight and ended the first two in the money. Thomas picked up the $2,500 multi-stack award and can earn another one if she makes the money later tonight.
$350 Ultimate Re-Entry No Limit Hold’em Level 1: 25/50
Chad Freedman (Miami, FL) continues to lead after four opening flights
The weekend is in full swing and we’re ready for the second half of the $350 buy-in $500,000 Guarantee Ultimate Re-Entry tournament. The field blasted past $500,000 in the fourth flight last night and now we’re pushing higher with each new entrant.
Everyone is still chasing chip leader Chad Freedman after he bagged an impressive 639,000 in the first flight. Levi Maloney came close to hitting that mark in Flight C but dropped near the end. No one else has finished over 500,000 and Roberto Alberro is the closest with 489,000.
We’ve had 12 multi-stack winners in the Ultimate Re-Entry, each earning $2,500 for bagging multiple times in the first four flights. We expect to see more today.
The first four starters drew a total of 1,745 entrants with 161 players booked for Day 2. The early session today could be our biggest of the eight starting flights and we expect a bustling ballroom all day long.
Ultimate Re-Entry players sit down to 15,000 stacks and have 30-minute levels throughout the opening flight. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 13 at 5:45pm and they will continue playing until 10% remain.
If players are unable to advance in Flight E, there is another opportunity in Flight F at 5pm.
