Dantonio Brown returns for Day 3 with the chip lead

After three starting flights and a long Day 2 grind, the WPTDeepStacks Main Event is down to 27 players from the 1,509 starting entries. They return at noon and will continue until they form the final table nine for the live-stream on Tuesday.

Day 2 saw 264 players return to play down to the money and WSOP Circuit winner Alex Foxen held the starting chip lead. Despite the advantage, Foxen was not among the survivors at the end of the day.

Three members of the Seminole Hard Rock poker team made it through to Day 2 but Jessica Dawley and Faraz Jaka dropped short of the money. That left Loni Harwood carrying the SHRP banner and she finished Day 2 strong and will return today with a top ten stack.

Dantonio Brown will start Day 3 with a big chip lead and he’s practically guaranteed to book the biggest win of his career. We have an impressive gang coming back including TK Miles, Aaron Massey, Marc Levy, Luke Brereton, Charlemagne Benjamin, and 2015 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown final table member Andre Crooks.

They’ll kick things off at noon with 22 minutes left in Level 25 and continue playing down until we have only nine players remaining with a chance for the title.
