Nick Petrangelo Wins Last Trophy Before the Start of the Main Event

Thursday’s poker action at the 2016 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown was all about the $2,200 No Limit Hold’em Eight-Max event.

It was a stacked field as it was the only event running today and the last event before the WPT $3,500 Main Event kicks off on Friday afternoon.

Nick Petrangelo took it down and won over $93,000 for his efforts. He came out on top of a stacked final table that featured David Malka, Matt Affleck, Tyler Patterson, Aaron Massey and Anthony Spinella.

This event almost seemed like a warm-up to the main event for many, which is the only event that is running on Friday. The $3,500 No Limit Hold’em WPT Main Event kicks off at noon and carries a $2 million guaranteed prizepool.

Late registration and re-entry is open for most of the day. Here’s a look at Friday’s schedule.
