Day 1A of the October Anniversary Special has come to an end with Ray Millard (pictured above) leading the 16 remaining players with 296,000.

Millard’s ascension to the top of the chip counts came late in the day, as former chip leader Ayal Miodovnik had lost nearly half his stack from his high point of more than 300,000, which Millard was on the receiving end of some. Miodovnik recovered somewhat by eliminating Jorge Merino on the money bubble, but Millard was well ahead at that point en route to bagging the chip lead.

The remaining 16 Day 1A players are in the money and are set to return on Sunday at noon. Full chip counts can be found here.

Day 1B begins at 11 a.m. on Saturday and will have the same 105-player limit as Day 1A did. Players are allowed a single re-entry through Level 6.
