The remaining 100 or so Event 1 players are on a 15-minute recess. With the field shrinking around him, Erik Cajalais — who owns more than $3,300,000 in reported tournament earnings — is one of the most notable players still in. The last hand before break was rough on him, though. He had an opponent’s last 76,000 at risk preflop holding to the opponent’s . Cajelais had the opponent covered, but just barely. A king-high flop left him second best and Cajelais never improved. He shipped 76,000 across the table and was left with just 16,000. That’s good for two big blinds when cards go back in the air in about 10 minutes.
Cory Waaland and Mark Fink are far from new to the World Series of Poker Circuit. Together, they account for 11 gold ring wins and more than $680,000 in Circuit earnings. While the Circuit grind is old hat to them, they are new faces to Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood.
The pair arrived in town earlier in the week in search of additional jewlery and now find themselves sharing a table in the $365 Turbo. The first-timers have spoken well of the property, and they’re looking some beginner’s luck of different sorts here in Event 2.
wow just realized I’ve never been here before and my excitement level has gone from a 7 -> 8.6…@shrpo is pretty sick!

Seminole Hard Rock Poker team member Jessica Dawley hit the rail shortly after the bubble burst. With that, it’s Stewart Newman left repping #TeamSHRP. Newman owns about 90,000 chips good for 18 big blinds.
Across the room, Seminole Hard Rock Tampa ambassador Wally Maddah is in the money and looking for a deeper run. It was nearly two hours ago that Maddah was overhear assuring a friend he’d be “out in a minute.” At the time, he had just about 10 bigs. Fast forward to midway through Level 18 and Maddah is healthy as ever with over 25 big blinds.

On the third round of hand-for-hand play, Isaiah Goldman opened the action from middle position. It folded to Heitor Saraiva in the small blind. He jammed about 50,000 chips and Goldman called putting Saraiva at risk.
Goldman: Saraiva:
Runout:
Goldman’s king had Saraiva drawing slim on the flop and Saraiva never caught up. He was eliminated on the bubble sending the final 171 players in to the money.
