The wait is over and it’s time to kick off the 2019 Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open”. We are starting off big with Event 1 featuring a huge $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.

The tournament has a $400 buy-in and eight starting flights between now and Saturday evening. Plenty of chances to enter and spin up a stack for a deep run.

Players will start with 20,000 deep stacks and all Day 1 levels last 30 minutes each. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 3:30 pm with unlimited re-entries available during that time. They will continue playing through Level 14 when all remaining players will bag up their chips for a Day 2 return on Sunday.

It’s sure to be an exciting time over the next two weeks and this will be a great start to the series.

3PM: Event 29 – $150 Multi-Event Satellite (1-in-10)

  • 4 packages guaranteed – Seats into RRPO Events 1 and 9 plus $200 cash
  • Players begin with 10,000 in chips and 20-minute levels
  • Late registration/re-entry available until start of Level 7
  • This is a one-day tournament and plays until completion
  • Winners will be entered into the earliest flight available

2019 RRPO Set to Go

The wait is over. The next big series is here with tomorrow’s kick off of the 2019 Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘N’ Roll” Poker Open. The series features 26 primary events with more than $4,000,000 in guaranteed prize pools.

We storm out the gates with Event 1; the multi-flight tournament has a $1,000,000 Guarantee for only a $400 buy-in. We will close out the series with a $25,500 High Roller on the last weekend and it also has a $1,000,000 Guarantee.

But the headliner starts on November 29 when we roll out the $2,000,000 Guarantee WPT RRPO Championship. It has a $3,500 buy-in and the final table will be played out on the World Poker Tour live-stream stage.

In between those big games, we have plenty of action the rest of the series including eight non-Hold’em games. There are buy-ins ranging from $150 up to that $25K High Roller with both one-day and multi-day tournaments.

In addition to our primary events, we also have a full slate of secondary events with satellites running the available every day.

It will be a very exciting series, the first since the recent property expansion. We look forward to showing off our new tournament room and the added options around the casino.

All tournaments, except the 9am satellites and otherwise noted, will be played in the Seminole Ballroom which was previously the Event Center. New name, same location as the past few series.

Chris Moneymaker Returns to the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood in December!

The Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood and PokerStars teamed up to award five South Florida poker players a $30,000 PSPC Platinum Pass Package in 2018. This year, PokerStars and Chris Moneymaker return to Hollywood, Florida on December 11th for Moneymaker’s Road to PSPC Series. The winner of the $360 Buy-in/$100,000 GTD Main Event, will be awarded a $30,000 Platinum Pass Package to attend the PSPC hosted in Barcelona, Spain (August 2020). David Moreno

The 2019 Seminole Turnpike Series was another great success. The tournament was a collaboration between Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood and Seminole Casino Coconut Creek with starting flights running in both rooms. They combined to put 1,218 entries into the game and SHR regular David Moreno walked away with the title and $30,187.

The tournament had a $250,000 guaranteed prize pool and it was pushed up to $255,780 by the time registration closed. Each starting flight finished when 10% of the field remained and the 127 players who returned to Hollywood on Sunday were in the money.

Moreno held the chip lead at the final table when the last seven players decided to make a deal to divide up the remaining prize pool. He took the $30,187 top prize and earned his first recorded tournament win.

Congratulations to David and thanks to all Hollywood and Coconut Creek players for another great run.
