It was a battle of the blinds between Alexander Orlov in the small blind and Thiago Costa in the big blind.

On the turn, with the board reading Kh9s2sQc, Costa got the last of his chips into the middle against Orlov.

Costa was all in for his last 56,000 and showed KcQh. Orlov showed KsJs and had plenty of equity with a gutshot straight draw and a flush draw.

The river was the 6d and Costa fades a ten or a spade to double up.

Flight D players returned from the first break and they’ve already created the biggest of the four starting flights. The 169 entries also pushed the Event 6 prize pool over $300,000 with more than two hours remaining to register.

We found two huge stacks in the room while they were gone. Eric Beller and Michael Henin each pushed their 20,000 starting stack over 70,000 with neither far from 80,000. That’s a good start to their day but they have a lot of poker in front of them before bagging after Level 14.
