Jason Koon

Over on Table 2, Jason Koon three-bet shoved for about a starting stack. Jake Schinder woke up with a big hand in the big blind, and he joined the pot to chase away the raiser and put Koon at risk.

Koon: 2h2d
Schindler: KsKd

The board ran out QdTd4sJsJh, and Schindler’s kings held to eliminate Koon in 11th place.

Just a moment later, Table 1 dropped a player, too. Sam Soverel took his stand with about 50,000 chips and AsTh, and Ivan Luca put him risk with the dominating AcQs.

The board ran out JdJh8c3h7c, and Luca’s kicker played to earn him the pot. Soverel was eliminated in 10th place, and the final nine players drew for new seats around the final table.

Isaac Haxton

Down to less than 10 big blinds, Isaac Haxton got the last of his short stack into the middle first in from the button. Big stack Nick Schulman called in the big blind to put him at risk.

Haxton showed KdKh and shrugged at his fortunes.

“Of course!” Schulman feigned frustration, tabling Ah5d.

Haxton flopped top set on the Kc7d5h, and he had his double all but locked up. Schulman couldn’t help asking the dealer for a five, though, mostly in jest.

The turn wasn’t a five, but the As froze the chatter and made everyone’s eyes open wide for a moment. Sure enough, the Ad ripped off the deck on the river, and Haxton could only shrug once again.

Schulman won the pot in unlikely fashion, running down aces full to eliminate Haxton in 12th place.

Nick Schulman – 410,000 (103 bb)
Isaac Haxton – Eliminated

Bryn Kenney and Isaac Haxton were heads-up to the river of a Kh8c3h7c9c board. There was just about 60,000 in the pot, and Kenney moved all in or 78,500 out of position. Haxton spent a long while in the tank, then called to put Kenney at risk.

Kenney tabled AhKd for top pair, top kicker.

“That’ll do it,” Haxton said, revealing his inferior KcTs.

Kenney doubled up, leaving Haxton’s as the shortest stack in the field.

Bryn Kenney – 220,000 (55 bb)
Isaac Haxton – 29,000 (7 bb)

Dan Colman

Jason Koon opened to 6,500 in middle position, and Dan Colman three-bet shoved for 87,000 in the small blind. Rainer Kempe, the newest addition to the table, re-shoved from the big blind.

Koon firmly announced a fold, tabling AdJs on the way into the muck.

“Thanks,” Colman said, a little perturbed to see some dead outs.

Colman: As8s
Kempe: QsQc

The board ran out 8h3d2sKh5s, and Kempe’s queens held to earn him the pot.

Colman was eliminated in 14th place, and Giuseppe Iadisernia followed in unlucky 13th just a moment later.

Rainer Kempe – 280,000 (70 bb)
Dan Colman – Eliminated
Giuseppe Iasisernia – Eliminated
