Lee Markholt opened to 8,500 from the cutoff and Tyler Patterson moved all in from the small blind for 98,000. Markholt called and Patterson was ahead but flipping to stay in.

Patterson dodged the over cards on the flop and turn but the river was bad news for the WPT Jacksonville champ.

Tournament staff paused the clock after Patterson’s elimination to redraw the last two tables.

Michael Mizrachi opened to 6,000 from the hijack, Jonathan Jaffe three-bet to 17,000 from the cutoff and Justin Young four-bet sheoved to 46,000. Michael Mizrachi thought about coming along, using one of his time bank chips, before he released his hand.

Jaffe quickly called to put the 2016 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship winner at risk.

Jaffe had two live cards but his hearts were dead. Young hit the flop and but Jaffe turned a straight when the came to leave Young with six stay alive outs. Any heart that wasn’t the was good and the river was good for a double.

Before the board was removed, Jaffe double checked with the dealer to make sure of his cards. He laughed after a thinking he had a straight flush for a second.

With the board reading , Ryan Riess was facing a 14,000 bet from Bobby Odoobi. His allotted action clock time ran out to put him into his time bank and he eventually announced all in.

The dealer broke down the stack to 44,400 and Odoobi called.

After doubling up Anthony Zinno, Marvin Rettenmaier was the shortest remaining and opened a pot for 5,200 leaving six black chips behind. Zachary Smiley moved all in from the big blind and Rettenmaier called.
