Event 10 Day 1E: Abbey Daniels Stands Her Ground

$570 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 11: 600/1,200 with a 200 ante
Players Remaining: 234 of 621

Abbey Daniels was heads up and out of position in the big blind, and the board showed Ts8c3cJhAs. She checked, and her opponent bet 25,200 into a pot of just over 50,000. Daniels pondered for just a few seconds before flicking a single chip into the pot to signify a call.

“Good call,” her opponent said, tapping the felt with his cards and sliding them into the muck.

Daniels asked if she had to show to win the pot, and she was informed that she did not. “I’ll show one anyway,” she said, exposing the 6c.

Abbey Daniels – 155,000 (129 bb)

Event 10 Day 1E: Jaenicke Knocks Out Two

$570 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 10: 500/1,000 with a 100 ante
Players Remaining: 261 of 621

With more than 250 players going at it right now, it’s tough to say if Rob Jaenicke is leading but he’s up there after sending two players out.

We missed the action preflop but the dealer got our attention when he said “three players all-in”.

Jaenicke was far ahead with KdKc versus TdTs and QdJd, then had a small sweat after the turn with the board reading As8s2c3s and then tens holding the only spade.

The Jc river was safe for Jaenicke to knock two players out and move up near 200,000.

Rob Jaenicke – 198,000 (198 bb)

Another SHRP team member jumped in the game and we found four-time SHRP champion Michael Laake making his first appearance this series.

His last title came when he won the $1,100 Six-Max event in April during the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown a few months after he won the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Winter Poker Open $560 Deepstack.

Event 10 Day 1E: Michelle Shah Eliminated

Michelle Shah (Delray Beach, FL)
Michelle Shah (Delray Beach, FL)

Michelle Shah was quietly grinding her Flight E stack when she ran into a big blind defender. She opened to 1,300 and her opponent called from the big blind to see the AsKs9h flop.

He check/called 2,050 from Shah to the 4h turn and he checked again. Shaha threw out all her non-5K chips for 2,800 and he check/raised to 8,000. Shah announced all-in for 25,000 and he gave it a lot of thought.

He eventually called and showed his flopped two pair Kd9c to put Shah in trouble with AcJc. She had eight saving outs but none appeared on the Qc river to send her out.
