WPT Main
Dinner time has rolled around and players are taking a 60-minute break away from the tables. The second flight is very close to hitting 500 entrants and we might get there before registration closes after this break.

John-Christian Templeton (Sarasota, FL)
The second flight of the Main Event officially surpassed the entrant number from the opening day and we have 472 in the game with two more hours to register.
We found John-Christian Templeton this afternoon and he’s technically the last player to win a Seminole Hard Rock Poker major title. Last month he was grinding away at the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Winter Poker Open and finished with two nice results.
Templeton final tabled the opening tournament of the series and followed that up by winning the Championship for $134,000. It was a tough table which included pros Sheddy Siddiqui and T.K. Miles.

Jeff Pringle takes a lead in the middle of the day
We found our first two stacks to hit the 100K mark, they stood out in the crowd with the room devoid of player. First break leader David Sapers crossed over the big number but the lead was taken away by Jeff Pringle on the other side of the room.
They stand alone in the six-digit category but Farhad Roozbeh isn’t far behind with 96,000.
Top stacks and notable counts:
Jeff Pringle – 111,475 (279 bb) David Sapers 100,525 (251 bb) Farhad Roozbeh – 96,025 (240 bb) David Johnson – 82,775 (207 bb) Jeffrey Coburn – 78,225 (196 bb) David Tuthill – 65,825 (165 bb) Martin Carnero – 55,750 (139 bb) Asher Conniff – 53,000 (133 bb) Kathy Liebert – 51,425 (129 bb) Loni Harwood – 46,500 (116 bb) Jonathan Duhamel – 45,600 (114 bb) Anthony Spinella – 41,875 (105 bb) Vinny Pahuja – 41,800 (105 bb) Stewart Newman – 34,875 (87 bb) Sheddy Siddiqui – 33,525 (84 bb) Harrison Gimbel – 32,025 (80 bb) Ory Hen – 31,550 (79 bb) Allen Kessler – 30,250 (76 bb) Dan Suied – 28,975 (72 bb) Josh Beckley – 28,225 (71 bb) Tristan Wade – 24,400 (61 bb) Jared Jaffee – 23,375 (58 bb) Keven Stammen – 20,325 (51 bb) Ralph Massey – 20,000 (50 bb) Aaron Massey – 16,750 (42 bb)

Allen “Chainsaw” Kessler (Las Vegas, NV) grinding before the break
Players are about to take their second break of the day as we’re edging up to yesterday’s entrant count of 461. There’s still a slim possibility we’ll hit the guarantee in this flight but it’s a lock we’re going to blast past $1,000,000 early tomorrow.

Asher Conniff (Brooklyn, NY)
We’re starting to see a few hardy souls enter the ballroom this afternoon after spending a little time in the Bahamas. More than a few players made the trek from Paradise Island in the Bahamas to South Florida after grinding away at the PCA series last week.
The flight is less than an hour and many are taking the opportunity to jump across the Florida Straits for the $1,000,000 Main Event.
Asher Conniff is here today after cashing in the PCA Main Event and ready to add to his already impressive results. His two biggest scores came less than two weeks apart when he won the opening event of the 2015 Borgata Spring Poker Open then followed that up by winning the WPT World Championship (after famously mis-clicking into a satellite).

Dan Suied (Miami, FL)
The second flight of the Main Event crossed over 400 entrants midway through Level 5 leaving us 170 entrants short of hitting the magic number to pass the $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Even the stormy Florida weather isn’t keeping us from getting there.
Dan Suied is one of our early players today, taking time away from the cash games to play in the big event. His last tournament victory came here during the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open when he captured Event 1 for a nice $110,000 payday.
