Picking up the action after a flop, the player in the big blind checked to Adam Levy who bet 400 from middle position. Levy’s opponent called to see the turn, which both players checked. When the landed on the river, the player in the big blind bet 1,000. Levy raised to 3,500 and after a few moments, Levy’s opponent called.
Levy tabled for a set of threes, his opponent mucked, and Levy collected the pot to increase his stack to about 22,000.

Cards in the Air in Event No. 1 to Kick Off Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open
The first event at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida is about to begin, with cards in the air at 7 p.m. Eastern Time.
Event No. 1 ($350 No-Limit Hold’em) is a re-entry tournament with five starting flights. Here is a look at the schedule for those starting flights:

Day 1B: Friday, August 9 – 11 a.m.
Day 1C: Friday, August 9 – 7 p.m.

Tonight we will bring you live coverage from Day 1A as the field plays 14, 30-minute levels. There will be a break every two levels so action will end just before 3 a.m. Players can re-enter the tournament on any start day. They may also re-enter the tournament on any subsequent flight. The tournament has a guaranteed prize pool worth $500,000. Day 2 will begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 11.

The Live Updates Team, comprised of some of the poker industry’s finest in live streaming and reporting, will be bringing all of the action to SHRPO’s reading and viewing audience.
Throughout the 33-event series, inclusive of the $10 Million Guaranteed Championship Event, the Live Updates Team will keep followers posted from the tournament floor via a live featured table web stream by Rob Perelman, coupled with live updates, blog posts, photos, videos and social media covered by Jay “Whojedi” Newnum, BJ Nemeth, Ryan Lucchesi, Diana Cox, Mickey Doft and Will Thomas.

(July 18, 2013) – Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino has added the World Poker Tour® WPT Alpha8™ Florida Super High-Roller Tournament to its Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open (SHRPO) series schedule running August 8 – 29, 2013. The new $100,000 buy-in Event #23 will start on August 26 at noon at Hard Rock Live. Viewers will be able to watch the WPT Alpha8 Florida final table before it airs on TV streamed live on www.WPT.com on August 27. The SHRPO $10 Million Guaranteed Championship Event will run August 22-28.
WPT Alpha8™ is an all-new, global series of super high-roller poker tournaments to be broadcast on FOX Sports 1 beginning in March 2014. Held in some of the world’s most prestigious venues in North America, Europe, Asia, and South Africa, each event will feature a buy-in of at least $100,000.
