Event 12: Players on Break, Updated Chip Counts

$2,200 Eight Game Mix
Level 12: Limits 1200/2400
2-7 Triple Draw Lowball

While a lively rail surrounds the final table of Event 8, Event 12 has had its share of action as well. No one has been eliminated since the start of the day but the chips have been flying around the table. Dan Weinman has managed to take a slight edge over the rest of the table headed into Level 13.

John Racener: 26,500
Dan Weinman: 70,000
Robert Campbell: 20,100
Brandon Delnano: 60,900
Steven Wolansky: 65,300
John Thrower: 39,300

Event 8: Simon Cracks Aces

$560 Buy-In Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 37: 250k/500k/50k ante

There is little doubt who has the biggest rail in the room. Derrick Simon has friends and family stacked as close as they can get to the table. They let their presence be known to everyone when Simon found a big double.

He opened to 1,400,000 and Riley Fuller three-bet nearly enough to put him all-in. Simon laughed before putting all his chips in the middle with 5s5h, then the rail moaned when Fuller tabled AhAc. The crowed started yelling for a Five and the dealer put one right in the window when it came KhTd5d.

Fuller was unable to catch up with the Qs turn or 3d river to give Simon’s fans a reason to yell some more.

Event 8: A-Nonymous Eliminated in 6th ($57,166)

$560 Buy-In Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 35: 150k/300k/50k ante

Our “player who wished to remain anoymous” was unable to bounce back from the previous hand when he took a shot a few hands later.

Derrick Simon opened for 800,000 and Riley Fuller moved all-in over the top. Anony-player called in the next spot and was in danger when Simon folded his hand.

Anon: AhJc
Fuller: 7h7c

He picked up a gutshot on the KsQs5s flop but it ran clean for Fuller the rest of the way with 2hKc on the turn/river to send XXX out in 6th place for $57,166.

Event 8: Zimowski Makes Big Call

$560 Buy-In Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 36: 200k/400k/50k ante

Our Anonymous player was the aggressor in a blind versus blind battle with Adam Zimowski and it didn’t not end well for the man behind the mask.

He led out from the small blind for 900,000 and was called by Zimowski in the big blind before the Jh7c4s flop. He bet out another 1,200,000 and Zimowski called again. This time is was a shove from him after the 3h turn and Zimbowski took his time to run the hand through his head.

He was up out of his seat when he finally called for his 8,575,000 with 5d4c which was a big bluff catcher against Qd8s. He dodged his bad cards to jump into the lead and knock his opponent down near 7,000,000.

Event 12: Rough Level for Racener

$2,200 Eight Game Mix
Level 11: Limits 1000/2000
Stud

John Racener’s bad luck continued in Level 11 in the Stud round. Racener showing AsQs6s2s was a little befuddled after Robert Campbell stayed in the pot with 10d6c4h2d. After the final card was dealt and Campbell made one more call on Racener, Racener showed only a pair of queens and Campbell showed 10-6 for two pair and took the pot.

Play has now started on Level 12 – Limits 1200/2400.

Event 8: David Castranova Eliminated in 7th ($42,703)

$560 Buy-In Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 35: 150k/300k/50k ante

David Castranova’s comeback fell short and it was Riley Fuller getting his chips back in the end.

Fuller opened from late position with KhKs and had an easy call when Castranova three-bet shoved from the big blind with TsTh.

There was no drama to be found this time around as the dealer put out Ah7s2h3c7d to stop Castranova in 7th place for $42,703.
