Joseph Cheong Eliminated by Neri Sanchez

Joseph Cheong Bust

On a board reading Qd Ts 8d 9s, Neri Sanchez moves all-in and is called by Joseph Cheong. Cheong turns over Jc Jh for a straight.  However, Sanchez flips up Ks Jd for the nut straight.

The 5c falls on the river and after the chips are counted, Sanchez just barely has Cheong covered.

Neri Sanchez – 1,500,000

Joseph Cheong – Eliminated

Allen Bari Doubles Through Jesse Chinni

Just before the blinds went up, Allen Bari raised to 24,000 from UTG+1. Jesse Chinni called from the next seat over, the player in the big blind called, and the flop came down Qh 8c 7h.

The player in the big blind checked to Bari who bet 32,000. Only Chinni called to see the 6h turn which Bari checked. Chinni bet 65,000, Bari called, and the 2s river fell. Bari checked again and Chini bet 174,000 effective. Bari called all in immediately with Kh 8h for a flush, besting Chinni’s 9c 9h to double up.

Allen Bari – 580,000 (36 bb)
Jesse Chinni – 610,000 (38 bb)
