The players have returned from break to begin Level 24, with increased blinds of 15,000-30,000 with a 30,000 ante.

A scan of the field during the break turned up four players with at least two million in chips, creating an unofficial leaderboard:

1.  Will Manzueta  –  2,350,000  (78 bb)
2.  Mohammed Kabir  –  2,190,000  (73 bb)
3.  John Binns  –  2,125,000  (71 bb)
4.  Carlos Bolanos  –  2,115,000  (71 bb)

Barry Abramowitz
Barry Abramowitz

We’ve also found Barry Abramowitz sitting on a stack of 1.52 million, which is particularly impressive because he started the day with just 36,000 in chips — six big blinds.

Abramowitz tells us that he scored two quick double-ups early in the day, worked his way up to about 500,000, and then knocked out players in back-to-back hands when he woke up with pocket queens and then pocket kings. And now he is sitting pretty among the big stacks.

Barry Abramowitz  –  1,520,000  (51 bb)

With 153 players remaining from a field of 6,253, the average chip stack is around 815,000 (27 big blinds), and the remaining players are guaranteed at least $1,650 each. The next pay jump is $1,860 for 144th place.

Brandon Duvdivani completed the small blind to 25,000, and Jordan DeGrenier checked his option in the big blind.

The flop came AhJh4s, Duvdivani bet 25,000, and DeGrenier called.

The turn card paired the board with the 4c, Duvdivani checked, DeGrenier bet 90,000, and Duvdivani called.

The river card double-paired the board with the As, Duvdivani checked, DeGrenier moved all in for 395,000, and Duvdivani went into the tank for a long time.

Eventually, somebody called for a clock, and with just a few seconds left in the countdown, Duvdivani called all in for about 290,000 with 9c4c for a full house, fours full of aces.

But DeGrenier turned over Ac6d to win the pot with a higher full house, aces full of fours, eliminating Duvdivani in 179th place.

Jordan DeGrenier  –  940,000  (38 bb)

Level 22:  10,000/20,000 with a 20,000 ante
Players Remaining:  215 of 6,253

Solange Lucas

We missed the action but found a thrilled Solange Lucas piling up a big stack of chips. As told by the floor staff and confirmed by the table, she put her stack in the middle with jacks.

A smaller stack player called at risk with pocket eights to her immediately left, and the next player did the same with pocket threes. Then it really got interesting on the Jx8x3x flop when all three players flopped a set.

Lucas held with her pocket jacks and jumped over one million.

Solange Lucas – 1,180,000 (59 bb)

The Family Slay is also in contention. With the elimination of Loni Hui leaving Phil alone in the tournament, it looks like Kelly and Kelley Slay (not a typo) are the last married couple still in the game.
