The opening event of the 2019 Fun in the Sun Poker Open, the $300 Deep Stack No-Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry),  drew a field of 436 entries and created a total prize pool of $111,180, easily surpassing the $75,000 guarantee. After two Day 1 flights on Thursday, just 60 players returned on Friday. The top 55 places paid, but all eyes were set on the final table. For the eventual winner was top prize money and a $3,500 Lucky Hearts Poker Open Championship Seat.

The final four players agreed to a deal, and Roberto Bendeck was the chip leader at the time to officially earn the title of champion.

For Bendeck, a regular at the Seminole Hard Rock, it was a bit of redemption as in this very same event three years ago, he finished runner-up.  Bendeck also won a WSOP Circuit Ring earlier this year at Seminole Coconut Creek.

His $16,051 first-place prize and $3,500 Championship Seat win today marks Bendeck’s fourth-largest career tournament score and pushes him above $250,000 in live tournament winnings.
