Day 1B of the WPT RRPO Championship drew 877 entries, setting the total field size at 1,451. There were 293 players who bagged on Day 1B, and along with the 220 from yesterday, there will be 513 players returning for Day 2 at 12:00 noon on Sunday.

Nohad “Nu” Teliani leads the way after Day 1B, bagging 485,500.

Paul Balzano opened to 4,000 from the hijack, Kurt Jewell called on the button, and Byron Kaverman three-bet to 19,000 from the small blind. Balzano folded, Jewell four-bet to effectively 68,000 and Kaverman tanked for a bit before he called all in.

Registration closed for the 2022 WPT Rock ‘n’ Roll Poker Open Championship with 1,541 entries to crush the $2,000,000 guarantee. They combined to create a prize pool worth $4,931,200
and the last 193 players will make the money.

Both the entry count and the prize pool number represent the second biggest for the RRPO Championship, trailing only the huge field that turned out last year.

A min-cash is worth $5,600 and the last eight players in the tournament will earn at least $100,000. The six players at the official WPT live-streamed final table will have $167,000 locked up and the 2022 WPT RRPO Champion will earn their $785,800 payday plus a seat in the WPT World Championship.
