Locatelli: KsJc
Hastings: AcTc

The board ran out 8h4s2s3s6c, and Hastings’ ace-high was good enough to earn him a double-up.

Brian Hastings – 306,000 (38 bb)

Corcoran: KhKs
Racener: As5s

Racener was in trouble for another double and missed as it ran JhTc3h6h9c to send the former November Niner out in 20th place.

Tom Nguyen opened the button to 20,000, Patrick Eskandar called in the small blind, and Brian Hastings defended his big blind to create three-way action.

The flop was JcTcTh, and all three players checked. The turn was the 9s. Eskandar led for 25,000, Hastings raised to 80,000, and Nguyen moved all in for 170,000 total. Eskandar and Hastings folded, and Nguyen won the pot to nearly double-up with no showdown.

(Hollywood, FL) — Event 13 of the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Rock ‘n’ Roll Poker Open concluded Monday night in Hollywood, Florida. The $1,100 buy-in turbo tournament drew 81 hopefuls looking for a quick score to go along with the token SHRP guitar trophy. It took Sweden’s Peter Eichhardt less than seven hours to maneuver his way through tough competition and nab the event’s $28,350 top prize — a payday that translated into a $4,200 hourly rate.

The event narrowed to the final table just a few hours after play began. World Series of Poker November Niner Jerry Wong, bracelet winner Jean “Prince” Gaspard, WPT champion Chris Moorman and 2015 WPTDeepStacks-Immokalee winner Filipp Khavin were among those standing between Eichhardt and a title. Thanks to swift levels and a hot run of cards, Eichhardt dusted them off without much resistance. It was Khavin who lasted the longest, finishing just shy of another title and earning $15,390 for his runner-up placements.

Eichhardt was born in Sweden but now resides in Ireland. In addition to a WSOP victory he claimed this summer, Eichhardt has eight other major tournament wins on his resume. Despite career earnings of nearly $1,400,000, he says his primary profession is that of a writer.

With the conclusion of Event 13, just two tournaments remain on the 2016 RRPO schedule. Event 12 is a six-flight, $150 buy-in, $100,000 guarantee. The last three flights take place tomorrow at 11am, 3pm and 7pm. Event 14 gets cards in the air at noon tomorrow and is one-day $300 HORSE event.

Matt Glantz three-bet to 130,000 after Upeshka De Silva opened under the gun. De Silva four-bet to 329,000 from the big blind, Glantz moved all-in for ~800,000 and De Silva quickly called.

De Silva: KcKs
Glantz: AcQd

Glantz was in trouble and De Silva took away one of his outs on the 9s7s4s flop. The 8h turn was no help and Glantz was gone in 21st place after the 4d river.

Derek Bowers
Derek Bowers

Derek Bowers moved all in for 54,000 in the cutoff, and Brian Hastings called from the big blind to put Bowers at risk.

Bowers: QsJh
Hastings: Kd7d

The AdTdJc flop was fun for everyone, giving Bowers a pair and Hastings a combo draw with two to come. The Jd on the turn filled Hastings’ flush, but Bowers still had a few outs to make a full house or better. He could not; the river was the 8d, and Hastings won the knockout pot with an ace-high flush.

Brian Hastings – 210,000 (35 bb)
Derek Bowers – Eliminated in 6th place ($6,300)

Championship: Robert Campbell – 22nd Place ($12,890)

Players Remaining: 21 of 760

Robert Campbell
Robert Campbell

Robert Campbell was all-in for his final ~500,000 with QcJc and chip leader Upeshka De Silva quickly called with AcQc from the small blind.

Campbell was dominated and never picked up a sweat as the board ran Kd5c4s8h8c to send the former SHRP champ out in 22nd place.

Upeshka De Silva – 4,500,000 (188 bb)
Robert Campbell – Eliminated in 22nd place ($12,890)

Championship: Michael Dwyer – 23rd Place ($12,890)

$3,500 Seminole Hard Rock RRPO Championship
Level 24: 12,000/24,000 with a 4,000 ante
Players Remaining: 22 of 760

It took a cooler to get Michael Dwyer out of the Championship. He was all-in against massive leader Upeshka De Silva with his QdQh in deep trouble against AcAs.

Dwyer flopped a backdoor flush draw on the 7d2d2h board, picked up the real deal flush draw on the 3d turn, but blanked the Ks river to go out in 23rd place.

Meanwhile on the feature table, (spoiler alert) was eliminated in 24th place.

Upeshka De Silva – 3,850,000 (160 bb)
Michael Dwyer – Eliminated in 23rd place ($12,890)
