Jason Mercier moved all in from the hijack for 51,000, Staffan Lind reraised from the small blind to 108,000, and Yoandri Mulet four-bet it from the big blind to 330,000. Lind folded.

Mercier turned over Qd8c, but he needed to improve to stay alive against the AdQh of Mulet.

The board came AsQs6sKd4d, and Mulet won the pot with two pair, aces and queens, to eliminate Mercier in 29th place.

Most of our attention was focused on Day 2 of the Championship while Event 10 was filling with a nice lineup of pros and local regulars. The $1,650 Purple Chip Bounty tournament easily surpassed its $100,000 guarantee and built up a nice $162,200 prize pool.

Play was halted last night with 16 players remaining and in the money. Sebastian Kos comes into Day 2 with the lead but 15 quality players looking to chase him down.
