2015 Showdown Live Updates

Event 1B: Registration Closed

$250 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 7:  250/500/50 Ante

Registration is now closed, and there were 174 entries in Flight 1B — four more than the 170 in Flight 1A. There will be a total of six starting flights (three today, three tomorrow), and the field is already up to 344.

If you missed the registration deadline, do not despair, because Flight 1C begins at 7pm. This should be the flight that reaches the guaranteed prizepool of $100,000, and with three more starting flights tomorrow, the total prizepool could double the guarantee.

There are currently 79 players remaining in Flight 1B (average stack: 26,500), and action will continue until the end of Level 14 (around 10:45 pm).

Event 2: Multi-tasking Ari

$350 Big Stack Omaha 8B (Single Re-Entry)
Level 7: 500/1,000 Limits

Good players can’t turn down a good deal and Ari Engel knows a good one when he sees it.

Engel is deep in Flight 1A of Event 1 and he heard this tournament would have an overlay once registration was closed. His seat in Event 1A is close to the Event 2 field so he decided to double his poker fun.

The 7-time WSOP Circuit champion was the 51st player to put his money into the Omaha/8 tournament and he’s getting some nice cardio running back and forth.
