SHRPO Championship Kicks off Tomorrow

The preliminary tournaments are complete, one Big 4 final table is set, and now it’s almost time to get down to business in the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Championship.

The $3 Million Guaranteed Championship kicks off tomorrow morning with a $5,250 buy-in and a lot of money and prestige for the winner of this tournament. This is the fifth year of the series and the previous champs are a fine group of poker players.

2013: Blair Hinkle
2014: Dan Colman
2015: Omar Zazay
2016: Jason Koon

The Championship will feature two starting days, Friday and Saturday, with a single re-entry option available if someone needs another shot. Players can use their entries on either day or both, but they are maxed out at two.

The two starting flights and the combined Day 2 field will play ten levels each with Day 3 continuing until they form the live-streamed final table. They will play it out in the Hard Rock Live arena with the other Big 4 final tables for later broadcast by Poker Night in America.

We expect a great field for the Championship with a nice mix of our local favorites and top pros. Anyone can win the title and we look forward to tracking the action as we move closer to crowning our 2017 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Champion on August 15.
