SHRPO Flashback in Time

Event 1 - Plaques

As we head into a new decade, we thought we would take a look back through the history of the major Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood series over the years and some of the huge milestones we hit in 2019.

A typical year in SHR Poker includes four major series with a single exception, a one-time run of the WSOP Circuit in 2017. Throughout the year, we have the Lucky Hearts Poker Open early followed by the Poker Showdown in the spring. Summer brings the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open (Summer Splash prior to 2013) and the Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open closes out the year.

They include huge guarantees, bursting prize pools, and massive fields along with a variety of non-Hold’em games to mix things up. With the conclusion of the RRPO, there were two milestones we hit in 2019.

  • During the 2019 SHRPO series, the combined prize pool of all major series, primary events hit $260,307,625. More than one-quarter of a billion (that is billion with a B) in prize money awarded.
  • During the 2019 RRPO series, the combined entry count went over 300,000 in total for all major series, primary events.

Pulling statistics from the 2010 Poker Showdown up to the 2019 RRPO series, here are some of the big numbers that have been posted:
