We have three new tournaments on today’s schedule and two have bounties attached to their players; one no limit hold’em and one with PLO. The first gets underway at 2 pm with a $600 Double Black Chip Bounty NLH tournament with $200 awaiting a player for each bustout.

They’ll start with 20K deep stacks and all levels last 30 minutes for this one-day trophy event. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 6:30 pm. They’ll take off for a 40-minute dinner break at 8:30 pm and return for the march to the winner.

The $400 Omaha 8/Stud 8 field was sent on their first break after four levels and we have a very nice group of 65 entries in the split pot/mixed game. They have more than two hours and we expect to add another big group to join before registration closes.

Hal Rotholz is back in the Grand Ballroom and shooting for his second SHRPO trophy. After several close calls, he earned his first on Wednesday as the Big O champ.

It was expected and here we are. The Grand Ballroom is packed full of players and the field doubled before the first break. With 670 entries today alone, the prize pool is up to nearly $1.24 million while chasing down a cool $2 million at some point tomorrow.

We are only a few days into the series but six trophies have gone out with another three being awarded today. Another non-hold’em tournament gets underway at 11 am with the $400 Omaha 8/Stud 8 tournament, featuring some top mixed game talent.

They’ll start with 12,000 out front and all levels last 30 minutes. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 3:30 pm and players may re-enter as often as needed if they bust. There is a 40-minute dinner break scheduled at 5 pm and they will return to play it out for the SHRPO trophy.

We are halfway through the opening event on the 2022 SHRPO schedule, and it’s already hit its first milestone. With 825 entries in Flight D, the combined total reached 3,083 and the prize pool topped the $1,000,000 guarantee.

Our players are going to set a new record for field size sometime tomorrow and we are ready for it.
